How should men and boys help eliminate gender inequality?

Gender equality is when people of all genders (women, men, trans and diverse people) have equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities. Gender equality is important because everyone should enjoy the same opportunities, rights and obligations in life. Gender equality matters because it is a human right. We can continue to make progress by using gender -neutral language when needed, help promote it and offer equal pay for equal work. Men and boy can help by showing that they care and agree to eliminate gender inequality. They also need to acknowledge the male privilege. Often men are not aware of the system because they have always enjoyed these privileges.

DeleteGender equality is when all genders get treated equally and fairly; equal rights, equal opportunities and equal obligations. Gender equality is so important, everyone deserves to be treated with the same respect and tolerance as everybody else no matter what gender you are. In the past women were treated as second class citizens; not aloud to vote or speak their voices... Today women still face many injustices one of which is unequal pay. How is it fair that a women makes significantly less then a man for the same job? In order to continue making progress we need to acknowledge the issues that are at the core of sexism and gender inequality. More people need to start using their voices and more women should be representing us in politics. Men are important because as of now they have the most power especially in politics. Men need to do is acknowledge their greater privilege and use it to help stand up and support women. A lot of men don't even believe in gender equality which is why it is so important to talk about it in school.

DeleteGender equality is when all genders are treated equally and have access to the same opportunities and rights as everyone else. This is important because everybody should have the opportunity to make the most of their lives. Being treated equally is a basic human right that everyone should have. Everybody should be treated with respect and should be valued. We can make progress by giving all genders equal pay, equal tasks and hiring diversity. Men can help fight for gender equality by using their voices to speak up and by attending peaceful protests.

DeleteGender equality is when everyone has access to rights and opportunities, whether they are a man, woman, trans or otherwise. It doesn't matter what gender you are or identify to be. This is important because we can't judge people based on what gender they are. Everyone should have the same rights and opportunities as the next person. Gender equality matters because it's a fundamental human right. Everyone deserves to have the same opportunities and options as everyone else. It's important that everyone has the chance to pursue their passion and dream without being judged or stopped because if their gender. We can make progress by giving the same rights to everyone; by giving a fair salary and equal tasks. Men can help by spreading awareness with their own voices.

DeleteGender equality is where every individual from every gender is equal and treated the same as would anybody else. It is important as we should be aware and non judgemental when it comes to people identifying a certain way, as they believe that's who they are. Gender equality matters because it is wrong to assume or judge someone based off of their gender. Everybody, know matter what they identify as, we should all have the same rights. To make progress, everyone should be given the same salary (per job) and protection and care, such as free healthcare.

DeleteGender equality is viewing every gender as equal no matter who they are. The reason why gender equality is so important now is that for many decades women in specific were oppressed and didn't have the right to vote or get equal pay as men. Thankfully now these issues have been fixed. I think that gender equality has gone a long way from what it started as because as I mentioned earlier it started as a movement were women wanted some power in our society which I think we can all agree they've achieved. The thing is now they want to become stronger than men and more powerful because they were once oppressed which personally I find very ironic. So in conclusion gender equality is still important but it's much less present than it once was and I think the one thing we can still do is help those women who are still stuck in bad places due to gender inequality.
ReplyDeleteTrue, woman are seen equal to men proven by one phrase that was pushed throughout women's rights ¨anything a man can do a woman can do too¨. We see it a lot during World War 2.

Gender equality matters because it's a human right. We can make progress by creating awareness in cities, nearby areas, society etc. No matter who or what you identify as, everyone should be treated equally and fairly. An example of inequality would be how men are paid more than women in jobs. I think that men and boys can help with gender equality by supporting it and making sure their voices can be heard.

DeleteGender equality is when every one is treated equally, fairly and with the same rights and responsibilities no matter what gender they are. It is very important because everyone is human and it isn't fair that some genders would be treated differently than others and sometimes we lose sight of that which is wrong. Its very important that we recognize gender equality because still today, for no reason there are still so many people that receive unfair treatment just because of their gender even if they are capable of the same, for example less pay for women than men, which just doesn't make sense. We can make progress by acknowledging these problems as problems and doing something about them. We need to hear everyone out and right the wrongs. I think men can help by supporting gender equality and try to progress it.

DeleteGender equality is where both genders have the same rights. It is important because in the past, women had barely a scrape of the same rights men had. Men were able to do so much more, just because they decided they should. But, as society progressed, we adressed this issue more and more, until the problem was solved. Gender equality was an issue in past comunities that has already been fixed. Women wanted the same rights as men, and they got exactly that. The only reason people continue to insist that gender inequality is an ongoing problem in society is because women strive to have the majority of the influence on what we do in life. Previously, men had the lion's share of what we do, and now women wan that for themselves. I think that that is prefectly fine, actually, but as long as they don't abuse their newfound power. Men and women have collaborated to create just laws for everyone, and as long as that is not changed, I have absolutely no objection to women having more power than men.

DeleteGender equality is where all genders have equal rights and freedom. It is where there is no discrepancy between the genders and no discrimination, also known as sexism. This is very important as this caused many issues in the past, where women couldn’t vote, so we would have around half the population couldn’t vote their leaders and representatives, and it was a whole other gender on top of that. We can progress gender equality by celebrating it more and giving it more thought and maybe even give some goals about the day itself. Men and boys can help eliminate sexism and gender inequality by not making as many jokes or relevance about it. We can also help represent women if they can’t do it themselves. Society offers men more opportunities than women, so we need to help our other gender by giving them as much right and freedom as we have.

DeleteGender equality is when both genders are treated equally, when no gender is treated superiorly and acts as though the other gender is lower class. It is important because everyone is human, everyone is nature, everyone is imperfect. Gender equality matters because with it comes confidence, change and the voice found deep inside. We can help those who can't find a voice, find their place on this planet. The male gender can help by looking out for those who are silent.

DeleteGender equality is when both genders are treated equally and there is no superiority or hierarchy between genders. It's important because everyone should be equal and nobody should be given privileges because there of different gender nor should people be downsized and underprivileged because of those reasons. Gender equality matters because it states the officialism of equality through all and that nobody should be treated poorly due to there gender. We continue to improve gender equality each day by the demonstration of both women and men who have made names for themselves, it demonstrates how both genders can achieve something, they can have goals and are given the chance to reach for them withot being pulled away and stopped by baist laws or sexist employers, they can make it on there own without being held back by gender hierarchy. To this day we still promote gender equality by reminding the public of the laws that instate equality between both genders through dates and days for both, to appreciate and remind the world of equality and those who fought for it. We've seen in the past how many women stood up and fought for there rights for freedom and equality, how they did not give up and kept fighting until women could do the same things that men did. We were even reminded in World War 2 when the men went out fighting in the war woman were the ones who kept the economy going and life continued proving that women should be treated as equals.

Gender equality is having a true balance between all the genders. Where both receive the same opportunities and the rights. Gender equality matters because in history women were countless times treated in awful ways all around the world. No voting rights, they were t thought to be stupid, no schooling, and were told that they belong in the kitchen. I honestly don't know how boys can help, the only thing that I can see actually being put into place is for boys to stop saying things like "that's for girls". Men of high authoritative power can put some new laws and and try to enforce equality more. For men all around the world they could try staying at home and watching the baby while the wife goes to work for a change. The thing I don't understand is why would companies not hire sheer women if they would only have to pay 81% of the salary. I'm positive that big corporations don't give a damn about your gender and all they want is efficiency and profit. so How come they don't hire more women? (I'm not sure if any part of blog sounded insulting to either gender, that wasn't my goal of the blog, but I apologize if I did.)
Gender equality is when every gender has equal rights, opportunities and is treated the same. This is important because for many years women have been treated as less than men. As times continue to change and progress is being made we are getting closer to gender equality but it still isn't there. Gender equality matters because we need everyone to work together to have the world move forward. Nobody is superior to someone else and when we put our identities aside we can make a change. In order to eliminate gender inequality I think we should stop categorizing things as something "feminine" or "masculine". In order to be equal we must remove negative labels associated with a group of people, understand our differences and treat people with respect regardless of those differences/gender.

Gender equality is important because everybody should have the same opportunities and rights to succeed in life. In history women were treated horribly and barely had rights. Gender equality is important because nobody should be treated unfairly because of their gender. We can continue to make progress with gender equality by continuing to talk about it. In society, men have more opportunities than women so we should speak out about it and continue to support it.

ReplyDeleteGender equality is when both men and women are treated equally and given the same rights and it is important so that no gender feels more in power and to keep balance in the world. It matters because we are all equal and no one should be treated better than someone else for the reason of their genders. We can make progress by treating people the way we want to be treated, that way no one is treated unfairly. Men should treat women like another human being, just the same. The only difference is genders and that is no reason to be treated differently.

It matters because sometimes people feel stereotyped and are told not to do something regarding their gender. Gender equality prevents violence against women and girls. Societies that value women and men as equal are safer and healthier. Gender equality is a human right. We can continue the process by making all different types of opportunities have an equal chance to be received by a man or a women. Personally, I don't care if a man receives a job over as long if he was more qualified or is better for it.

DeleteGender equality is where both genders are respected equally and have the same rights as each others. Unfortunately gender equality isn't completely a thing now as some men degrade women and respect them less then other men. It is very important to respect everyone no matter their gender or anything else that is different that us because everybody deserves our respect. No matter what we look like or how we think, everybody is a human and until they do something to lose your respect, you should have respect for everyone. To make gender equality progress we have to teach the future generation properly because sexism and racism isn't something you are born with, it is something that is taught. So as long as we teach our future kids properly, gender equality will soon be a thing. Men and boys can improve gender equalities progression by not thinking down onto women. When we all think of each other as equal, then we will achieve gender equality.

ReplyDeleteGender equality is when all people are treated equally regardless of their genders. It's important because judging people based solely on what gender they were born into is wrong. I think we've made lots of progress in this field. For a long time men were always treated as better than woman for no real reason. It would be next to impossible for women to go to school or get a job or really live a life that they wanted to. They didn't have many options. Nowadays a woman is allowed to perform any job she wants to ad get the same pay a man can, go to any school she can get into and has just as many options as men do. I personally think that we've progressed to the pinnacle of gender equality, at least in this society. I think that now we should be focused on more pressing matters like racism, which is a subject that has gotten a lot better in the last centuries, but still needs a lot of improvement.

It is important that all genders are treated equally because no one should be discriminated against because of something they can’t control. Society has made big advancements in getting rid of gender inequality but there is still much to do. A good way to continue making progress is this issue is to make sure all people are able to have equal access to education and jobs. A great way for men to make a change is for them to speak out and recognize issues that may not concern them.
