Are you ready for online learning?
What was your experience with online learning last year?
What did you like about it?
What did you dislike about it?
Are you happy you decided to come back to school versus doing online learning this year?
Explain.

I'm not looking forward to online learning because it requires a lot of motivation and looking at a screen for a few hours a day. During the beginning of online learning last year, it was okay and I was doing my work but towards the end, I ended up loosing motivation and didn't really accomplish the work. I liked how classes were shorter and I disliked how we still had to get up early. I'm happy we came back to school because I got to see all my friends and it overall made my mental health better.
ReplyDeleteI also didn't like getting up early. Good blog.
DeleteI agree, as time went on I had less and less ambition for online learning. Great blog!
DeleteMy experience with online learning last year was okay, mostly because we didn’t have a lot of work to do and it wasn’t very strict. I liked how it was calm and I didn't really have to attend every single class. What I disliked about online school was having to do it when the weather was nice outside. It was pretty hard to be motivated to sit in front of a screen for a couple hours every day when my sister was outside playing. I much rather go into school than having to do it online because I missed interacting with my friends.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree, it was pretty hard to be motivated to sit in front of a screen for a couple hours every day. Great blog!
DeleteLast year we had online for like a month. We started late and no one was driven nor ready for online learning. I found it extremely unmotivating and boring so I didn't put in any effort. Since we are only doing it for a week this time, I don't mind it. I liked that I could learn and do work from the comfort of my bed but I didn't like how distracting and hard it was to learn at home. I am extremely happy that we did not do online learning this year. I have friends that have all online learning who say its extremely mental demanding and draining. Although wearing a mask to school is not ideal, i much rather wear it than have to learn all online.
ReplyDeleteI agree, online learning is extremely unmotivating and boring.
DeleteI'm really not looking forward to online learning. I found that last year it didn't work so well and that it was a pain to stay online for the majority of the day. I think the part that I didn't like the most was the transition between being in school and switching classes to being on a computer for the majority of the day. The part that I didn't mind was that the classes online weren't as long as a regular period was at school. For most classes, we would be online for around 20 mins and then just be left to do our work. I much prefer going to school than doing online because, when going to school, we can still see our friends and be more social.
ReplyDeleteMy year didn't work well! Great blog.
DeleteI am looking forward to doing online school just because it means Im a few steps away from the holidays, Personally, I prefer to be in school than online. Last year online school was terrible. The teacher and the students were both new to this situation so it was chaotic. I like how I can do my own thing and keep myself organized without a teacher telling me. I don't like not being able to see my friends without a screen. I am glad I chose to go back to school because it gave me a chance to actually socialize with people.
ReplyDeleteI agree it was nice to see friends in person at school
DeleteI’m not excited to start online classes. I prefer going into school because I liked being able to see friends and it was easier to participate. Last year’s zoom calls were pretty calm and chill. We didn’t have too much work which was nice. I did like online learning because we were able to sleep in but I did not like that we were home all day. I am so happy that they decided to send us back to school because being on zoom was awkward.
ReplyDeleteI agree, being in home all day is exhausting. Great blog!
DeleteI am looking forward to doing online classes as it is short and I get to stuff without the teacher knowing. I didn’t really participate in the online learning last year but I was just talking to my friends during the classes to understand what the teacher was saying. I liked how it gave us a bit more freedom and I don’t have to wake at 6am anymore. I can get more sleep as well. What I disliked was that the subjects we learned weren’t taught as much and there was more lack of understanding. Sometimes it was difficult to keep track of what was happening. I prefer to do in class learning as it is easier and it is a way to hang out with my friends. There isn’t really much to do at home. School is much easier in class than online.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree, learning is class is much better! Great Blog!
DeleteI agree with you, Muhammad. I definitely prefer school in class rather than online. Nice blog!

ReplyDeleteI agree, its easier to learn in class and online could be confusing, good blog
DeleteMy experience with online learning last year was okay i guess. We didn't really do much but it was good because most teachers didn't know how Zoom worked so we didn't do a lot of work but now they do so we're probably going to have to do more work. The thing that I like about it as that we didn't have to keep our camera on so we didn't have to get ready like we normally have to do for school. The thing that I dislike about it is that you can't really ask questions. I like it better in class.
ReplyDeleteI completly agree! Great blog!
DeleteI’m not ready for online class. It’s not for me, I can’t look at a screen for a couple hours and not really do anything. Online in sec 2 was terrible, the teachers were confused and I had no motivation, I never did my work because my english teacher(Ms Bron) told our class that she was planning on passing everyone and that the other teachers were too. I don’t like anything about online school. I don’t like that I can’t talk to my friends and that I’m at my house. I’m already at my house so much because of the red zone but being at home more will be annoying. I’m so happy that we returned to school instead of zoom. I saw some of my friends for the first time since march and being school was fun.
ReplyDeleteYessss, I forgot everyone was getting a pass, it's true though I had no motivation either. Great blog!
DeleteI agree online school last year was not fun.
DeleteMy experience with online learning was great for me, waking up later, less of a work load, and I don't have to wear pants. Except I know that it was a lot harder for the teachers, although I think if we went back to online learning now, teachers would be more equipped with the necessary skills. One thing I liked about online learning was that you can go at your own pace. One thing I disliked was that the classes were a lot more boring and wasn't very interactive, and I think both students and teachers could agree with that.
ReplyDeleteOnline learning was really fun last year.
DeleteI'd rather be in class with the full class, but if this is what needs to happen to have the entire class in together, I'm ready. i liked how we could still see friendly faces and that we could learn. but i didn't have motivation or as good of a learning experience. i'm glad that i could come to school and see my teachers, friends and peers, i'm also grateful that we could learn more about each other before going back on zoom. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
ReplyDeleteLast year online learning was really fun. Every day we'd log on for like 30 minutes tops and then we'd be done for the rest of the day. Plus the teachers couldn't really teach us so we could basically just do whatever and not really pay attention. The problem with online learning, if your looking at it with a parents point of view, is that we didn't actually learn anything. Last year we learned absolutely nothing in any of our classes because we didn't understand how to use the websites, and I don't think that this year will be much different with most of the classes. I think that I actually enjoy school more than online school. Zoom really sucked because it was difficult to focus when you were at home and the teachers couldn't teach the way they had for the last 2 decades, so they were really bad at it. If we were doing this long term I think that our our scores would be completely bombed, so I think that school is way better.
ReplyDeleteI am not ready for online learning, last year it was a disaster and did not go well at all. I didn't like anything about it, I am so glad that they decided to put us in school this year because I hated everything about online learning last year. Online learning was not good, even though we didn't get as much work the instruction was often confusing. I also don't like staying home especially when my mom is always home as well. I find it difficult to keep up with school work while at home because there are so many distractions.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree, staying home with your family is very distracting.
DeleteI don't like online school because it's boring. I hate waking up early to go on zoom. It's practically impossible to learn online and i'd much rather go to school to see my friends. Last year, I wanted to stay home almost everyday but now that I have to stay home it became really boring. I wake up early, have to go on zoom and listen to teachers give us too much work before the break. I don't think we should do online classes and I don't think we should get homework before the break because I wanna spend time with my family, not doing math handouts.
ReplyDeletei agree, online schooling is very boring.
DeleteI am not looking forward to online schooling. I did not like it last year because it was boring and very demotivational. I much rather schooling in person because I like socializing with people. I also don’t like zoom because it is harder to understand what we are learning. Next I don’t like getting called on to answer questions on zoom. I am happy that we were able to go to school in person, but I am not excited for online schooling.
ReplyDeletei agree it was very unmotivating. great blog!
Deletei really don't like having to do online learning because i find it so much harder to stay focused and pay attention. I didn't mind it too much last year because we weren't being graded, but that meant that i almost never payed attention which is probably going to happen during online now. i really like the fact that i can do more stuff at once, like if i wanted i could make breakfast during class so i could sleep in more. I dont like the fact that we have to do it at home because my parents and some of my siblings are home during and they can be really loud or like just walk into my room which makes it even harder to focus. im really happy we came back to school this year instead of online because i feel like its important to talk to people and get out of the house.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to pay attention for so long. Great Blog!
DeleteI agree, it's hard to stay focused. Great blog!
DeleteHonestly, Im okay with online. I like that the teachers are less strict, classes are shorty and we get less homework. Although what I can see why its bad, as we might now get as much attention and help as we do in class and I would not concentrate as much. Im kind of happy we are staying at school, as I believe I do better. But I do like to say at home more.
ReplyDeleteYeah even if it is a bit dull, it does have some benefits.
DeleteI feel that I'm ready for online learning. This whole school year has forced me to develop a better work ethic at home. I think that this will come in extremely handy during online school. Last year, I liked online school because it was very laid back and we were just getting used to the platform. The teachers understood we weren't used to it and eased back on the homework (thankfully). I didn't like how we were learning in a home setting because it's a lot easier to get distracted and that prevents people from actually understanding. Online school is a lot more awkward too because of the mute/unmute control. I remember how in regular school the teacher is trying to get the kids to stop talking and in online school they're trying to get the kids to start talking. I'm extremely happy I came back to school because I finally was able to see my friends. I was back in a school setting and was able to focus on school a lot more.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, everyone has definitely developed a better work ethic and will actually take the online learning seriously.
DeleteI am ready for online learning, last year, no one took it seriously but since it is actually being graded now, everyone will. My experience was terrible last year with online learning, it was pretty useless in my opinion. The teachers just rushed everything because of the little amount of time we had left until summer break. Hopefully it will be better this year. Online learning was pretty fun because of the fact that you can stay home and work, although it wasn't the same. It was so slow and it got boring really fast. I am happy that I came back to school this year because we got a break in between in day and now we don't. It was one day on one day off, but now we have to wake up early everyday. We also got to see our friends and now we can't. I think it will be less fun but definitely more safe.
ReplyDeleteIve kind of been expecting online school for a while so I feel pretty ready for it. But even if im ready for it doesnt mean Im looking forward to it. Last year I thought online school was very boring. Even if I got to stay at home and watch in my pajamas, I still thought it was very very boring. I think it was a good decision to go to school because it was a lot more fun than online school would have been. I could actually do work and be with friends instead of sitting down all day and looking at a screen with nothing else to do.
ReplyDeleteWe really all knew that it was gonna come because of the rapid escalation in cases here in quebec, it was a forced solution.
DeleteI personally hate online learning, the instructions are vague, and you don't really get a good sense of learning, but rather a sense that work is being forced on you. I feel that work at home feels much less practical, and all in all, online learning is pretty useless in the sense that it does not help any students to learn. Of course we've all been expecting the government to mandate online learning, even though nobody likes it, and therefore I am ready for it, but ready as I may be, I still think it's a terrible idea.
ReplyDeleteI'm not looking forward to online learning. Last year, when we first started online learning, it didn't feel like learning to me. It's easy to get distracted and hard to stay focus. I found it was very unmotivated, and I didn't like that we have to stay in front of a screen for almost the entire day. I think it will be better this time since it's only for a couple of weeks instead of a couple of months. I think coming back to school is a really good decision because I can actually work productively without being disturbed, and I can also manage my time better.
ReplyDeleteLast year online learning was okay but not great. We did not have much work and everyone was new to zoom so it was kind of confusing. Also they said everyone was going to pass no matter what, so i did not feel very motivated to do the work. I liked being able to wake up much later and being able to stay in my room all day. I didn't like how it was a lot easier to get distracted at home than it is at school.
ReplyDeleteI think I am ready for online teaching, as long as theirs a schedule to follow and I am organised than I everything is gonna be alright. Last is not gonna be much different from this year, last year we had one subject per today and a lot of homework to keep us occupied though this only started around mid May and June, it was pretty late to start it though. I liked that we got the option of working from the comforts of home, be in my pj , sleeping a little later. The thing I disliked was getting to hangout with my friends and having physical conversations with the teachers. I am kinda happy to see how different it will be from last year and also to enjoy maybe watching during lunch brakes if they are at home.
ReplyDeleteI'm really not looking forward to online learning because of the way it's formatted I really have a hard time absorbing information through a screen in this way which I'm sure will be a problem eventually. I think that the worst thing is that you can't really interact with other people like you would in a regular which makes you lose interest at an alarmingly fast rate. I think the only good thing is that I can completely ignore everything but then again that might be a flaw.
