  1. My best holiday memory was definitely when I got my first pet for Christmas. I was in grade one at the time, all year I had begged my parents for a pet and finally they decided they would let me have a cat. We rescued the cat from a pet shelter a few days before Christmas and he has been a part of the family ever since. 2020 wasn't a great year for me and I don't think it was for anyone. Being in quarantine for so long wasn't great. I don't think 2021 will be much different, there is still a pandemic and the new year won't make the virus disappear.

    4. The new year might not make the virus disappear but let's hope the vaccine is released globally soon, maybe 2021 will be back to normal!

  2. My favorite holiday memory was in grade 5, where a bunch of relatives came home to have fun over the break. It was also the first time seeing some of my relatives since I have so many. I remember being really excited to see them and it was really fun playing with my baby cousin. 2020 was a fine year to be honest since I usually stay inside most of the time. It did ruin the times where I wanted to go somewhere but other than that, it was unexpected. I believe 2021 will be majority the same since there is still a pandemic going on but things will start to slowly come back to what they were used to. I believe it will be until 2022 where everything will be the same again.

  3. My best holiday memory would be spending time with my family. Sadly, we can't do that this year but i've never taken the time I spent with them for granted. One year, my parents gifted me a horse for Christmas. My uncle owns a stable so he gave me one of his horses. I was really excited to have my own pet. I don't visit it very often since the stable is far away but it's a memory i'll always remember. 2020 was a really good year for me since I accomplished every goal I wanted and more. I don't think 2021 will be drastically different but if we start to take Covid precautions more seriously then hopefully we can celebrate Christmas with our families again.

  4. My worst holiday memory was when we lost our dog on New Year's eve. I remembered I was nine and we were watching TV, then my dog just suddenly passed out. It was only a few seconds then she woke up, but I was so worried and my mom was like, "Let's take her to the vet." We all hurriedly get dressed and rushed to the car. Unfortunately, we were too late, she died in my mom's arms on our way to the hospital. We were all completed heartbroken, and it felt like losing a family member. 2020 wasn't a good year for me, I didn't get to do much and the year just flew by. I wish 2021 would be a better year since we will have vaccines soon, but other than that, I don't think there will be any difference.

  5. My best memory is going to be this year because after years of my parents to get a dog, we are finally getting one! This year will also be my worst holiday memory because it will be the first year ever that my family does not get together to celebrate Christmas. I don’t think 2020 has been a good year for the majority of people. Being stuck in quarantine was very tiring. I think 2021 will be just like 2020 until we get a vaccine.

  6. I think that my best holiday memory is going to a hotel called Montebello with my family and cousins. We went and enjoyed a couple of days with each other to celebrate christmas and exchange some gifts. My worst memory will probably be this year because I don't get to see my extended family like I usually do. 2020 was a pretty bad year for me because I didn't get to see my friends during the summer as much as a wanted to. I also really don't like having to wear a mask at school/at all times. I also think that 2021 will be just like 2020 until we get a vaccine.

  7. My holiday memories are all the same, not to say that they're not good, they're just not unique. They pretty much consist of getting some sort of toy, generally some sort of gun or something, and shooting my brother with it until I either got bored or the thing broke. 2020 was a great year for me. This year I had the least amount of school, I had a super long Summer vacation and I got to play video games all year, it was great. I'm expecting a lot more of the same from 2021, which is really exciting for me since it means I get more vacation time. One thing that's gonna be weird is going back to normal, because of the vaccine thing they made we'll probably be back to normal school by next December, which kinda sucks, but at least we got this long, it was fun while it lasted.

  8. my worst holiday memory is probably when i broke my sister's glasses right before Christmas and she couldn't see her gifts. I got in a lot of trouble although it was kind of funny. 2020 was very different than I expected it to be, although I feel like it was a good year and bad at the same time because i feel like there was some good stuff that came out of all this. I honestly don't think 2021 is going to be different from now especially since we're starting off the year in lock down but maybe the second half will get better.

  10. My worst Holiday memory was when I got coal for Christmas because I was always fighting with my brother. He would blame me for EVERYTHING and he didn't even get a piece of coal. With the coal, I ended up getting 3 onions that were later used to make breakfast. The night before on my moms side, my grandpa dressed up as Santa and while he was making his grand entrance, he ended up falling down the stairs and he needed to get stitches. 2020 has been a terrible year for me since Covid impacted me a lot. I hope that 2021 would be a better year for all of us.

  11. My favourite holiday memory would be when my grandma comes to visit us from Quebec city. Unfortunately, this year, she cannot make it because of the restrictions of COVID-19. Personally, 2020 wasn’t a great year for me because of all the sports that got canceled. In the summer, to keep myself occupied, I play a wide variety of sports with my friends. 2020 was also partly good, because it made me realize that I am fortunate to have a house during these hard times. To be honest, I don’t think 2021 will change anything, but I hope that people will follow rules and restrictions.

  12. My best memory of the holidays is going to see my family aboard. I don't get to see them often so every time I do it’s very exciting. I remember when year we went to my cousins and all the kids went downstairs and we would make up dances and play cards. The overall Christmas experience is way different over in England than here. I think 2020 was just a bad in general for everybody. My expectation for 2021 are that maybe the pandemic won’t be over but people will get enthusiastic and will develop hope that it will be over soon. I think that once the pandemic is over that everyone will appreciate everything and everyone so much better.

  13. My best holiday memory was a few years ago when my cousins and I went up to Quebec City to spend Christmas with our grandparents. The whole day was a blur because we were having so much fun. We found a ton of old VHS tapes and were able to hook it up on the TV. We were able to watch our parents when they were our age and we all laughed so hard because they were very similar to us. I never knew how similar my dad and I looked until I saw him on video. I sent a picture to another member of my family who didn't see the video and they thought I was in the picture. I'm really bummed out that I can't visit my family for Christmas, but I know that it will soon come to an end. Hopefully, in 2021, there won't be anymore quarantine or even COVID-19.

  14. My best holiday memory was when I went to Toronto to see all of my cousins. I have a lot of cousins in Toronto so there was a lot of people. We all watched movies, went tubing and had a great time. I found 2020 the worst year ever. Too many things got cancelled and removed such has, going over to friends houses, ice hockey season being cancelled and many more. I expect 2021 to be really good if this virus dies down by a lot or even if it is completely gone. I hope that it will be a better year and that everyone will go back to being able to do whatever they want.

  15. My best christmas experience was with the whole family together in our pajamas. There was also like 4 feet of snow which was also good to make snowforts. It was really fun and nice being with everyone. 2020 was a horrible hear. So many awful things happened that when another bad event occurred, nobody was surprised. It felt so long too. 2019 felt like ages ago. don't expect much from 2021. If anything it's probably going to be worse. Except that theres going to be a lot of new releases like shows or games.

  16. My best holiday memory was when I was in Florida with my family. I believe that it was a couple years ago as I was little. The day of Christmas, it was very hot and sunny and we went to the pool. The night before, for Christmas Eve, I got an electric scooter from Razer, and I still have it, but I do not use it. I loved it very much. 2020 was not that bad for me, as I was at my cottage, playing video games almost everyday. I agree that it was bad as well, as many people lost their loved ones, as well we could not see our fiends and family. I believe 2021 will be better, but still and of bad, as it probably cannot get any worse.

  17. the worst memory of the holidays was last year since my opa was no longer there and we all missed him. this was also the best since my uncle and his girlfriend were here and not in whistler. 2020 sure was wierd and long. i think 2021 wont be much different sadly but i hope we dont get divided into group a or b since its boring and i think nobody likes it. Happy holidays!

  18. My favourite holiday memory is every year my brother and I would wake up pretty early in the morning and open the gifts in our stocking. Then, we wait for our parents to wake up to open the rest of the presents which is so fun seeing each other's reactions. I also love singing Christmas songs with my family. 2020 has been a very stressful year. It is stressful because of Covid and all the homework and tests. My expectations for next year are that hopefully I will get used to the schedule and hopefully the pandemic will end.

  19. My worst holiday memory was on Hanukkah, I was in my old apartment and we were lighting the last candles. I felt a slight itch in my nose for it was winter and a had a cold. I reached for a tissue which was on the micker wave past the Hanukkah blazing over the colourful candles. I reached for the candles precociously but It was not enough for my pjays caught on fire and were burning, smelling like roast marshmallows. I feel like 2020 was a unexpected surprise both to my academics and my family. It was the first time that we had to stay at home for 6-9 months. It was also the first time my cousins could not visit us. The worst part about was that I mist my cousins Bar Mitzvah. In my opinion this year had a lot of ups and downs. Hopefully 2021 will be the end to this pandemic and even though everything wont go back to normal straight away we will recover and hopefully be more prepared if such a crises happens again.

  20. My best holiday memory was in 2011 when i was just 5 years old, I got this bear that was given to me by my mom and dad. I loved that bear so much, I literally took it everywhere. From 2011 to 2015 I had taken that bear to... London, Switzerland, The United States, India and Dubai(most of these were stops to get to another country). I still have that bear in perfect condition. 2020 was really a weird and surprising year but I was lucky enough not to have been affected greatly by the Coronavirus. Yes there we're some scares in our family but were lucky enough that our business stayed open, none of us got greatly sick and that we all stayed safe. Hopefully next year will be better for everyone but the the thing is that the virus isn't just going to go away, so hopefully by around April next year everything will go back to normal.(Sorry For Being Late)

  21. My worst holiday experience was probably 2 years ago when our menorah got knocked over somehow and almost burnt the house down. It didn't only ruin the holiday but got us all freaked out. The menorah fell over and lit the table on fire. 2020 was not a good year for me. I went through multiple mental breakdowns and obviously because of covid we couldn't go to school or see our friends which was really hard for me. I hope that the vaccine will make things close to normal again. My main goal is to become mentally stable and gain motivation to get my good grades back.

  22. I don't think I have any bad memories of any of my Christmas's but this year I'm sure is going to create because of the whole Covid situation. It's never been just my house hold for Christmas and I'm sure it's going to be odd. To be honest I don't have very high hopes for 2021 I just hope that I'll be able to leave my house without having to worry about paying a couple grand for being to close to someone.
