I think that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won because everyone was sick of an orange cheeto running their country. From most people's eyes, he hadn't done anything but make things worse and I guess his ego ruined it all for him. I feel like they will succeed as President and Vice-President because they will try to make the country a better place. For example one of his ideas or what he wants to do is expand healthcare . I think this will impact Canada with the international trades, help with immigration by letting more people come in the US and much more.

DeleteUnlike most people I think that Trump should have one this years election he never really did anything horrible for his country and in many ways he improved it. Though his ego did make people have a deep hate for him.

DeleteI think they won because most people finally saw through or just got over Donald Trump's ways. Obviously I can't speak for the people of the US, but I think people just got sick of him. There was so much negative news about him that he was bound to be either kicked out or lose the election and hope that someone better would replace him. I'm not sure how they will succeed. I think that they will definitely do things differently than Trump. I think that Joe Biden won't be the greatest president that will ever live, but I have a feeling that he will do a better job than Trump. Also, I don't think this decision will impact Canada. I mean, it'll be good news for us and it'll be entertaining and interesting to follow what is happening with the president, but besides form that, I don't' think there will be much of an impact.

DeleteThey will not succeed. Sleepy Joe is not smart and forgets his speech in front of TV. He also falls asleep while talking so how can we expect to trust this guy. Although I think they won only because of Kamala Harris because she is black and will not support racism and finally put it to an end. Everyone believes that and so that is why I think sleepy Joe won the election. They will succeed because they will do better for the community such as attempting abolish racism, people like to hear that so they will follow them and support their positions as president and vice president. This will impact Canada very little compared the the United States, although it will not do nothing. Racism in Canada is already better than the U.S. and now with Kamala Harris as vice president, racism actually has a chance to be abolished. I also realize that Joe wants to shut down the oil industry which will literally crush the economy. This is a stupid idea that will put America in the hole. The oil industry is almost the main source of economy and getting rid of it will destroy the economy. I know that it will be environmentally friendly to do this, but the benefits don't out weigh the disadvantages.

It was also very bold of you to talk about this topic in such a manner, because most people who support Trump are too afraid to say so. DeleteI think that Joe Biden won the election because more people thought that he would make better decisions than Trump already has ( which were terrible ones ). They thought that he would make a better president, because he had answers to almost all the questions people asked him, which were about how he would improve America. Unlike Trump, Biden had solutions, that he was going to ensure, because he had worked out all the details. Trump, on the other hand, was going to ruin the USA. He has already completely ruined democracy itself in the USA. I think that Joe Biden will succeed as the president, because he seems like a good man, who can fix a lot of the problems that Trump left behind. It won't impact Canada very much, but it still will, because the USA is one of the largest manufacturing companies ever, and they give us a lot of products. They are part of our economy. We won't have as intense relationships with the president, because Biden won the election.

DeleteI think that Biden won because everyone hated Trump. I believe that generally the republican party only wins because its supporters are very loyal to that party, and will always vote in an election. What I mean to say is they benefit from the lack of votes in an election, because the less votes the better chance they have, since most of the republican's will vote, but some of the democrats won't. However this year a lot of votes came in because no one wanted to have Trump as president again. I think that Biden and the vice-president will be fine. Nothing special, but nothing terrible either. Definitely nothing like Trump. Canada has always had great relations with the U.S and I'm sure that'll continue with Biden as president, maybe even get better.

DeleteHonestly, I do not know why Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won, because I knew nothing about US politics, besides that Trump and Biden were both running for president. Although, one thing that could be why they won was because he is part of the Democratic Party, and they do not support/agree with guns. I believe many people also do not believe on the use of guns, so maybe that's why he won. Like I said before, I know nothing. I do not know why he will succeed. Honestly, maybe because many people did not like what Trump did, they believe Biden could fix that, and make it better. This is just a guess, as I believe this is what could be going on and is not necessarily true. This could possibly impact Canada, because the friendship between could benefit us. It could also improve just overall economic market.

They are making promises that I don't think that they will be able to keep. The fact that a large portion of people hated Trump which helped Biden even more. All and all I think that if there was another candidate that was actually a genuine person he could have easily won.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I would like to say lets go, Donald trump is gone. Secondly, my father has been very actively listening to the presidential election, and therefore I feel compelled to say that Biden won due to his style. Donald Trump went and attacked his son, he said nothing about Trumps family. Donald trump went all the way through the election saying that he was going to win, completely lying, trying to incite belief, whereas Biden went through humbly. I could go on and on about the errors that Donald Trump made, which were bettered by Biden. I think that Biden's being elected will help Canada in so many ways, we will not be worrying about a nuclear wipe out from North Korea, to name one. On a more personal note, I have wanted for a while to join the military, and I am hoping to sign up soon to the Canadian military, hopefully to rise into JTF2. The point being that as a smaller military power, canadian forces are usually teamed up with our brothers down south who have an exponentially larger military force, if a man like Donald Trump is in power, I might get sent out to some country that the us has an issue with and be serving for a man who would push old ladies down the stairs for power. I understand that in the army I will have to do/experience some terrible things, that is not the issue, the issue is that I want to serve for Canada, my country not for a narcissistic, racist, homophobic orange of a man.

DeleteI think Biden won because he was obviously the better candidate. He has good morals, respect and decency for everyone. Unlike Trump, who hated poc. Im not sure if he will succeed and implement as many laws as he's hoping too because that's a very difficult process. Although Biden and Kamala aren't perfect I think their victory is something very exciting for poc in America. I have family members who would be close to losing their rights if Trump won. Their victory can impact Canada in positive ways because we distribute many things to America, such as hydro-electricity. Having a good president and vice president can help us in avoiding conflict.

DeleteI reason why I think Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won was because trump never really took Covid-19 seriously and thats why they have the most amount of cases, as a country, compared to the rest of the world. Trump is also very racist. He never really addressed all the protesting going on about the black lives matter movement because he simply did not support it. People were tried of him not listening to anyone. I think they will succeed because they will do a lot for black lives matter, women, and many others. Joe Biden will want to trade things with Canada.

DeleteI think Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won because people are tired of Trump ruling their country. He never really bring anything good to the country, and if he made a mistake, he would blame it on other people. I feel like Biden and Harris are a good team. They are humble, respect each other, and they are working together with one goal, which is to make America great again (as what Trump would always say, but never did). Kamala Harris is the first female vice-president to be elected in America, this might be another reason why they won. I think they will succeed as President and Vice-President because their first step is to stop the spread of COVID and rebuild the economy. If the economy is improved I think it will benefit Canada because they have a bigger market and larger manufactory so we can have a good friendship.
ReplyDeleteI believe there are many reasons that the Biden-Harris campaign won the election. The first is definitely a hatred against Trump. Many people look at a vote for Biden as a vote against Trump, which plays a huge role in the outcome. The second reason is the vice-president Kamala Harris. There are two sides to this factor. The first is the Biden side, which is that because she is black, Biden is not racist and will put an end to racism with her in America. The Trump side is that it's just a show and that the only reason Biden took Kamala Harris is to get the minority votes. It seems that many people have forgotten that we had a black president for eight years who didn’t solve racism, and I think Biden was his vice-president too. The third reason is the most important one, the media. It goes without saying that the media is biased. CNN supports Joe Biden and FOX News supports Trump. The game changing advantage is that most of Biden’s supporters are younger people and they are more active on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. The media therefore made Biden look good and Trump look bad. Not to be a “devil’s advocate” but I wondered why people voted for him if he was so horrible. Turns out although he’s racist and has a terrible personality, he did really good for the economy during his term. When COVID-19 hit, people thought he wasn’t doing anything about it, but he’s producing a vaccine that he’s going to release. It’s a risky move and people didn’t like that. There are many things I disagree with and dislike about Trump but I still think he’s not as bad as everyone says. In terms of Canada, things will actually be better with Biden because Trump was making the U.S more independent and less reliant on Canada, which affected our economy.

DeleteI believe that the main reason Joe Biden and Kamala Harris was because of the pandemic and how Trump decided to handle with it. They realised that hand sanitiser and masks were not only what they had to do. Trump focused mainly on the economical state of the country and not the population. He was fixed on playing the games that the rest of the world was paying, who was going to find the cure instead of thinking how to protect the people and keep them safe. He did not think of it as a flew, staying home and doing work from home is better than going to work and spreading throughout your environment. It was also because he kept on announcing his plan to fight covid-19 but he never explained it to the public. Nobody really knows if they will succeed as president of the USA, the people wanted a new plan a new leader to help them during this time of crises because the previous president did not succeed. If Biden can not only help and support the cause Black Lives Matter activists in a non violent solution and create a plan that will benefit the safety of the population. This may impact Canada because if Biden and Kamala Harris are able to change the current state the USA is in at a rapid pace, Canada will follow it its foot steps and so will the rest of the world.

During the first debate he let his emotions take over and acted unprofessional. He showed the people how immature he is and made unnecessary enemies. Biden promised if he got elected that he would handle the pandemic better and try to protect Americans. I believe Biden is set on making a difference and is going to be a president for all Americans. This will impact Canada’s relationship with America because Trump and Trudeau were not on the best terms but now that Biden is present America and Canada’s relationship will be repaired.

I definitely think that they will be better than Trump because unlike Trump Biden actually takes Covid seriously and Kamala Harris will hopefully try to end racism in the us since Trump didn't take the virus or BLM seriously. I think that this will affect canada because not only will Trudeau and Biden get along better than Trudeau and Trump, but if Biden and Kamala Harris manage to change the us for the better than canada will follow them, even if we are already better.

DeleteI think that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won because Joe Biden isn’t an absolute idiot and would like people other than white cisgender men to have rights. I believe they will succeed because they have promised to change a lot of the bad things that Trump has done while in office. For example Biden has promised to try to make a difference in climate change mainly by promising to rejoin the Paris Agreement which is dedicated to fighting climate change. I don't think this will have much of an impact on Canada however I have heard that the new president will make a difference to the oil industry. He wanted to get rid of the pipelines because it has a negative impact on the environment and if a pipe were to burst it would have catastrophic impact on the environment and its wildlife.

DeleteAlthough there are so many other people I would prefer to be the American President, between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, there is no way I would choose Mister Bing! Bing! Besides those who are more suitable for the position as President, I believe that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will greatly help with the horrible situation taking place in America. Donald Trump made so many errors as President which will take many years and many presidents but with Joe Biden and Kalama Harris in office, I think they will get on the right track to peace in the U.S. This will impact Canada because Joe Biden would not start some unnecessary war with North Korea or Iraq. So Canada won't have to save the Americans in a war .
ReplyDeleteI don't really listen to the news, and im not person who really knows what goes on with politics. But I think that Biden won because he wasn't Trump. People have seen the things that trump has said and done, and if he won, I think they saw what could happen. Which is why they might have voted for the other candidate. Again, i'm not a politics guy. I think it would be hard to do worse than trump, and I think they will succeed by cleaning up a bit after trump and try to straighten things up in the country. I dont really think this will impact Canada, it's just funny and a bit scary to see some of the things happening. Unless they declare a war or cut off alliances with us.

Some impacts on Canada would be that many Trump supporters said that if Biden wins, they will move to Canada, which is a problem because I don’t think people want them here.

DeleteThere are two main reasons that biden won, for starters everyone wanted trump gone so biden was their next best option, and second, biden stands for a lot of important policies that lay with american values. It's as simple as no one wanted a bigot to be in office for four more years and they wanted someone that will actually be able to deal with important issues effectively like corona. I think Biden and Kamala will succeed as leaders by fixing broken relationships with allies and basically cleaning up the mess that Trump had made. A new leader will help the american, canadian allyship because we can now communicate to each other with respect.

I think one of the big reasons Biden won was from the debates because Donald Trump said some controversial things which made people rethink what their president was. They will definitely succeed because they have great people around them and he will be expanding health care which is a known problem in the US. This will impact Canada as now the two leaders can get along better as Justin didn’t really wanna work with Donald but I am sure that he will cooperate with Biden and they can work together to make North America a great place for everyone.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm not gonna lie I really hated Trump he said so many lies that it felt unreal, for example a couple in Germany made a lot of progress with a Covid vaccine and than Trump took the credit for it, and it wasn't even someone in the states! I think people thought Biden was too old, not as sharp as he used to be, and a child kisser, but I don't think that really matters because at the end of the day he will surround him self with great people like Camela Harris.

Second, is because Trump messed up too many times and people got tired of his bs. He’s super racist towards every race but whites, and he’s really sexist towards women. People got tired of having a clown in office so people decided to go out and vote. Most votes ever in an election, that just shows you how badly Americans wanted him out. Trump couldn’t deal with BLM or Covid. He dismissed Covid and multiple people died because of him. People got tired of his arrogance and disrespect so they got rid of him.

If you read some of Trumps tweets they are monstrous, "If Ivanka weren't my daughter I'd be dating her", that's complete incest. Trump has also said when the virus started to drink cleaning products to stay safe because covid was just a hoax. Then some people listened to him and actually drank it then died!! Trump is a idiot and he deserved to be kicked from the office.

Donald Trump is racist and homophobic. He also wasn’t treating Covid-19 seriously and trying to prevent it from spreading like wildfire in America. That clearly didn’t work.
