It is a time when we get to dress up and eat LOTS of candy!

Tell me about your BEST/WORST Halloween memory?

  1. My worst Halloween memory was last year when it was pouring rain, I had to go with my brother to go trick or treating so because of all the puddles a lot of cars splashed me and got me freezing cold and it was super wet everywhere so that was a huge negative. But now I'm gonna make my way over to a positive Halloween story which was 2 years ago 2018, during that Halloween me and my brother got 250 candies each so that was pretty cool even though we only got a bit of the neighborhood(my neighborhood is pretty small)

    2. Yeah, must suck. Spending halloween in the rain with all the puddles. Doesn't sound like any fun.

  2. My best Halloween memory was when my friends came over for a sleep over the same night. As my birthday is very close to Oct 31st, sometimes my friends would come over, go trick-or-treating together and then celebrate my birthday the same night. A couple years ago, (my best Halloween memory) they came early. We went trick-or-treating for about 1hr to 1:30hr and then came home for cake. At that moment, all my fiends and family said Surprise! and I was confused. Turns out they all knew except for me that we were also going go-karting that night, which was very fun. This will be a Halloween that I will always remember as it was very fun!

  3. I have only really celebrated halloween once so I guess I can say that was my best Halloween. The best Halloween memory I had was when I went for trick and treating. I was with a bunch of family friends and I remember we got so much candy. I was like 5 at the time so I didn’t really know what was going on but I remember that I came home with a black bag full of candy. Somehow the next day, I didn’t get sick and the weather was perfect for trick or treating. We went all around our neighborhood and our neighborhood is really nice and we got so much extra candy because of it.

  4. I haven't really done the halloween thing. I mean, yes, I have gotten dressed up and went trick or treating but I barely remember it. I usually just eat candy and watch horror movies. That is what I consider halloween. So, the best halloween that I have had was when it was just me and my mom and we couldn't decide what to watch, so we ended up just watching the trailers to all the horror movies that we can find, eating lots of candy. That was one of the best Halloweens that I can remember.

  5. My best Halloween moment would be when I went trick-or-treating with my best friend, my sister and her best friend. We went to the neighborhood with big houses (they give the big sized chocolates) and we got so much candy! It was a bit cold out, but it wasn’t raining, so it was fine. We started trick-or-treating at around 7:30 and got home at 10:30. We counted our candies and then we went to our houses. I will always remember that night! My worst memory would be when I had a history test the next day. I think that teachers that give tests right after a holiday don't take into consideration the fun of Halloween for kids. The whole time I was trick-or-treating, I kept thinking about the test, and it was really annoying.

  6. The best Halloween i've ever had was when my friends and I went trick or treating. It was on a Friday so after school we all went to each other house. We then proceeded to get all dressed up and then have dinner. We then started to go trick or treating and the we just stayed up the rest of the night watching Halloween movies. I had lots of fun going out with them but the only really bad part was that it was raining.

  7. My worst Halloween memory was last year when it rained. It was freezing cold outside and I was stepping in puddles everywhere. I was soaked by the time I got back inside. Aside from the weather it was a great Halloween. I ate a bunch of candy and hung out with friends. My best Halloween memory was when I got my first full sized chocolate bar. I had never gotten one before and for years I had always wanted to get one. When I finally got one I was so excited.

  8. To be fully honest I don't think I have a worst or best halloween memory. Every halloween since I've been a kid has been practicaly the same. Me in my brother go out every year and walk around our neighborhood and collect candy. It's fun but neither have done it the past three years we jsut buy our own candy and stay at home and whacth movies.

  9. My best Halloween memory was when my cousins and I went to this haunted house 2 years ago. My aunt bought tickets and my cousins and I were all excited to go. First, we went trick-or-treating then we all walked to the house. There were really creepy clowns everywhere and there were many jump scares. I remember this clown scaring me so bad that I smacked him in the face. I felt really bad and said sorry and we ended up laughing it off. At the end of the house, they gave us those big candy bars and it was super fun!

  10. My favorite Halloween was when I finally unlocked the secret to trick or treating. I realized it wasn't just fun and games. Trick or treating is an art. I thought what would be the most efficient way to get candy. First you need to be fast, this means you need a costume you can easily run in. Next you need to bring a bag that is easy to carry and can fit a lot of candy. Pick the houses you know have good candy. Finally bring a costume that can be 2 costumes easily, for example bring two masks. Then when a house has good candy, move to the back of the line and take the second mask. Most people are too busy handing out candy to even tell. You can do this 3 or even 4 times before getting caught. You also need to be willing to trick or treat for hours. If you have any other tricks please tell me. Although now im too tall to pass as a child so some people dont give me candy.

    2. If you're still looking for tips, my uncles used to go trick or treating in roller blades so that they can get to more houses faster, but for that you need to know how to roller blade. Thanks for the tips by the way, I won't be able to use them but my little sister could.

    4. Intriguing ideas, one of the best ways is to bring a baby with you (sometimes you might have to pull some strings to get one), go with the baby and they will give candy to you and the baby. Just like taking candy from a baby...

  11. I don't think I have a best or worst Halloween memory. It's been the same every year, and be honest I never went trick-or-treating. I just stay home that night and watch the scariest movie I can find while eating a lot of candy that was supposed to hand out to the trick-or-treater. I don't know why I never went trick-or-treating, but even though I'm staying home, I still dress up in costume just to get into the mood, and it's a really fun way to spend the night.

  12. I haven't been trick or treating since I was twelve, and most of my Halloween memories are pretty much the same. At about 7 o'clock my mom would make dinner, usually the tradition before Halloween was poutine. Then my brother and I would go out for Halloween while my parents give candy to the other trick or treaters. My brother and I pretty much followed the same path to the sane houses to get the most candy, but because we were so tall we always got less than the kids that were our age because we looked older and people always give the most candy to the cutest kid.

  13. My best halloween memory was when i was in fourth grade and i went trick or treating with my best friends, we spent all night trick or treating and got so much candy. It was freezing outside but we had so much fun and I never wanted the night to end. Once we got to my friend's house we baked those halloween pillsbury cookies with the pumpkins on them and stayed up until 1 in the morning watching scary movies in this huge pillow fort we made.

  14. My worst Halloween memory was when I was eight years old and I had had gone trick of treating with one of my friends. We started walking and we got some candy. We walked really far and it began to rain really hard so we were stuck in the rain for about twenty minutes. We got soaked and it was terrible because we only got a little bit of candy. It was the worst Halloween ever!

  15. My worst Halloween moment was when the power went off in my neighbourhood and my sister decided to pull a Halloween prank on me. The house was really dark because it was night time, total silence in the house and my sister sneaked up to me and said ¨Like your cut g¨ and that was all it took to get me running into a wall. My best Halloween experience was when we went to the recreational center and I learnt how to skate on my own, sure I fell many times but I still figured it out.

  16. My worst halloween memory would probable be the halloween I had to endure last year. One of my friends invited me to her house to stay over and watch movies. Her younger sister was really excited about going trick or treating that she somehow convinced her parents to go in the rain. Both my friend and I ended up having to follow along and go trick or treating with her. It wasn't very fun since it was raining hard and we barely got candy before going back to her house. I'll always remember this memory because although it sucked being outside in the rain, her younger sister was really excited to be able to spend time with us going trick or treating.

  17. I don't really have a best Halloween memory because they were all pretty much the same, except for one year, which was worse. My worst Halloween memory was last year when my sister and her friend wanted to go trick or treating, and I had to tag along. I was getting absolutely drenched by the rain and I didn't have anyone else to talk to, I was basically just standing there, swimming in my jacket. Although it was a lot worse in the moment, I am kind of thankful for it because I know it's a Halloween I won't forget for a while, especially because people were talking about cancelling Halloween and everything.

  18. Almost every Halloween is my favorite one. Except for last year's, because it was confusing about which time to go out, and this one can't be as fun as the others, because of the virus. Unfortunately, this year, the virus might prevent this from happening. Also, one of my friends has parted ways with me. Otherwise, my Halloweens have been pretty tame, and boring. Like, half the time, my friend wouldn't be available to go trick or treating, because he got gastro, or other things. It was annoying, especially because he lives near the jackpot neighbourhood, where the people empty half of the huge bowl of candy into your bag/backpack, and still have a ton for the other kids.

  19. I don't remember my worst/best halloween moment but i do remember the weirdest halloween. it was last year. Last year I had 2 halloweens. In one I got drenched and in the other my bat wings nearly made me fly! 😂 But I didn't get many candies... 😔

  20. Contrary to many people one of my best Halloween memories was when I went trick or treating last year with my friends. It was a very last minute decision to go out because it was pouring rain so I dressed as Totoro, which I already had the costume for. Even though it was pouring rain we still had fun running around in the rain collecting candies. I didn't mind the rain because I do enjoy going outside in the rain and I don't mind getting my clothes wet. Unfortunately we didn't collect that many candies because a lot of houses were closed and we didn't stay out long because we got cold after a while, but all in all I had a lot of fun that year.

  21. The best Halloween memory I ever had was 2 years ago. Me and some close friends went trick or treating around 8pm. We went their neighbourhood first and then finished with my neighbourhood. We went to so many houses and racked up more than two full bags of candy. When we were finished trick or treating around 9pm, we headed back to my house to do some trading and watch a movie. We got back and went straight to my basement and starting the trading. I would trade all my candies that would contain nuts because of my allergy and get some rockets, aeros and all kinds of other candies. After trading around and sorting the candy it was still a bit early for a movie so we decided to play some fun old games and gamble candy for it. We finished off the night with the old movie Child's Play, Chucky. That was my favourite Halloween ever!

  22. I don't really have any big Halloween memories to be honest, but I do recall one specific Halloween. About four years I earned a great hull my pillow case was packed to the brim with so much candy it would make a dentist have a heart attack. After we would go trick or treating we would all get together to make very professional candy trades and stealing was prohibited and would lead to exile. At this point in my life I wasn't the smartest cookie and I thought that Smarties literally made me smart, so of course the only option was to trade every single candy for Smarties. Once I got home I showed off my Smarties to my mom, and told her my thought process, she proceeded to say "If anything they will make you dumber." That Halloween was horrible, all I had to eat was Smarties and honestly I don't really even enjoy Smarties.

  23. One of my worst halloween memories was about 3 years ago. I was at my cousins house in nyc. Everything started off okay, we had gone about 3 streets and then my older cousin decided to take the subway all the way to the other side of Central Park, so by the time we got there is was quite late and we didn't really know where to go. There were a bunch of drunk sorority girls and crackheads everywhere and I remember being so terrified that I couldn't move. Finally my older cousin got a hold of my aunt so she picked us up and we were all shivering and scared. Anyways once we got home I was excited to eat my candy but then my mom found a blade in one the candies and then took it all away so the whole night was for nothing. I will never trick or treat in nyc again.

  24. Halloween has never been amazing, being born one week before the 25th of December, I have always preferred Christmas. Despite this, I have had some great Halloweens. 2 years ago I had an absolutely amazing time, I got to hang out with my friends, scaring random people and doing ding dong ditches like normal kids. I also accidentally ran into a stop sign head first while running away from a particularly mad resident of one of the many houses in the neighbourhood that we hit. All in all it was great, even with the cerebral damage.

  25. I don’t have a bad halloween story but any time it rains it ruins the vibe. You get wet, you get cold and it just sucks. My best halloween story was in grade 4. My cousins came from california and we went trick or treating for 3 hours and got a lot of candy. It was fun because it was also the first time I had gone trick or treating without my parents. My cousins are 4 and 6 years older than me and it felt cool being out with them. Nothing was bad about that night, one of the best nights of my life.

  26. I don’t really have a Halloween that sticks out to me as my favourite or least favourite Halloween. I haven’t been trick or treating for a few years now but normally every Halloween I would go trick or treating with my friends. It would always be so fun to dress up and get candy with my friends. Normally, after we go trick or treating, my friend would have a party so we would head to her house and we would talk, trade candy and have fun.

  27. my worst Halloween memory was when i was younger and it was really cold one year and it was a mix of rain and snow and i had this really cool costume but my parents made me wear my coat on top and no one knew who I was anymore and I got really mad because every time i ran the doorbell they all tried to figure what i was supposed to be. I still got a lot of candy though.

  28. I don't really remember my best Halloween but I remember last years. I hadn't gone trick or treating in a while, last year my friend and I were just going to watch movies but we ran out of candy so we made costumes in like ten minutes and went around her neighborhood. I was a character from money heist and she was a witch. I honestly like when it rains and even though it was pretty cold neither of us minded. We then went back to her house and watched movies for a while, while handing out candies to kids.
